A catch-all mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to invalid addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss emails because the other side has an out-of-date address or has made a mistake. The downside of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of junk email messages, but this issue can be fixed by using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also important to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound emails to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a shared website hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel includes quite a lot of functions, but it is surprisingly intuitive, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes only one single click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only have to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the respective address. Our system will warn you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires one more click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all email address can be set up with a couple of clicks of the mouse in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated plan with our company. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be managed via our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes under any domain hosted there. To enable the catch-all functionality for a particular mailbox, you will need to click on the icon with the exact same name, which will be to the right of each email address. Disabling this functionality can be done in the same manner and will not take more than a click either. If the catch-all functionality has already been activated for a certain domain, you will get a warning notification. The same goes if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never replace or deactivate any feature automatically.
